同格の of（～という、～のような）の例を集めてみました。
まずは、江川泰一郎『英文法解説 改訂三版』（金子書房、1991年）より例文を引用します。
同格の of：～という
Do you know of a boy by the name of Calvin?
カルビンという名前の男の子がいるのを知っていますか。
※ know of の of は動詞との結合の of（～について）です。
The island of Hong Kong is a great trading center.
ホンコン島は貿易の一大中心地である。
同格の of：～のような

・of の前の名詞には不定冠詞の a(an) の他に this、that、someなども用いられます。

同書は、同格とならんで修飾関係、所有関係、主格関係、目的格関係の of の例を挙げたうえで、「いかに of がその原義を離れてさまざまに使われているかが理解されよう」と述べています。
次に、『ジーニアス英和辞典 第6版』（大修館書店）から同格の of の例文を拾ってみます。
同格の of：～という
He likes the idea of working overseas.
彼は海外で働くという考えが気に入っている。
There were just the three of us in the room.
部屋には我々3人しかいなかった。
※ the がないと我々のうちの3人となります。
He seemed to like the idea of starting early.
彼は早く出発するという考えが気に入ったようだった。
同格の of：～のような

同格の of：「～という」の例

But when China’s president, Xi Jinping, talked to President Trump last week, he had a different message: China and the U.S. “fought side by side against fascism,” he told Trump, adding that they should “safeguard the achievements of the victory in World War II.”

【メモ】
・the achievements of the victory（勝利の成果）は直訳すれば「勝利という成果」になります。
同格の of：「～のような」の例
It’s become a pattern: Since the cease-fire in Gaza was reached, Israel has carried out a steady drumbeat of attacks not just in Gaza, but in Lebanon and Syria. Last week, its forces killed at least 13 people in Syria, including two children, according to Syrian health officials, in one of the bloodiest incursions since the fall of the Assad regime last year.

【メモ】
・a steady drumbeat of attacks（絶え間ない攻撃）では、不定冠詞の a が付いた of の前の名詞（steady drumbeat）が of の後の名詞（attacks）を描写しています。
・ちなみに、one of the bloodiest incursions（最も犠牲者の多い侵攻の1つ）の of は部分関係の of です。
・また、the fall of the Assad regime（アサド政権の崩壊）の of は、fall の動詞形が同じくfall（崩壊する）という自動詞であるため、主格関係の of （アサド政権が崩壊する）となります。
